Seneca Howell Portfolio
for consideration as a Set Designer at The Escape Effect
Hi, I’m Seneca (you can learn a little bit more about me in my “About” tab!)! I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Creative Technology and Design and a minor in Technical Theatre from the University of Colorado Boulder. Now, I’d love a position in themed entertainment, and The Escape Effect seems like an amazing place for that! Some work of mine that I believe shows off my ability to flourish as a Set Designer for you can be found below. You can also click the “Work” tab at the top of the screen if you’d like a more full picture!
3D Printing
I have 3 years of experience in 3D printing, and I own a 3D printer myself (Prusa MK4S). I have 3D printed for countless projects over the last few years, including this functional carousel (entirely 3D printed— moves with an Arduino-coded motor). This carousel was featured as part of my senior capstone project— an entire page for that project can be found here.
Laser Cutting
I also have 3 years of experience in laser cutting. I have laser cut for countless projects over the last few years, including this “cart” for a theme park ride designed for candy riders and some Spotify song codes (engraved using a laser cutter).
Prop-Making / Theatrical Experince
As a Technical Theatre minor, I was quite involved in processes like prop and set design. For example, I designed this staff prop (based on an animated TV Show) as a project for a theatre class, and I worked on the set for “The Play That Goes Wrong”.
Design
I also have experience in painting, as well as graphic design.
